Three convicts are released from the convoy, arrange a shootout in the courtroom and take hostage the judge, employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service and Inga. Mikhaylov becomes a witness of the emergency. Markin offers to enter into negotiations with the criminals and detain them in a less crowded place. Arsenyev decides to take the building by storm. Mikhaylov informs Semyonov that he is in the courthouse. Semyonov decides to get there through an underground hatch - Foma's guard tells Revaz that Foma "ordered" him to the Architect's widow. Revaz's people kidnap her, but Semyonov frees her - Mikhaylov decides to give Inga an expensive foreign car for her birthday, but she does not accept the gift.
