Foma informs Mikhaylov that bandits outside the city are extorting money from businessman Tarasov, and then they will kill him. Mikhaylov manages to save Tarasov. Foma asks Mikhaylov for a favor in return: to pull a recidivist named Simon from the colony of Karelia. Semyonov, Denis and Lyonya are hot on the trail of Gryaznovskiy, who has committed a robbery. But investigator Strekalov releases him on bail for a bribe. CSS detains Strekalov red-handed. Sasha does not believe that his father will be able to settle his criminal case about planted drugs. Zavyalova offers Semyonov help, but he refuses. At the request of Mikhaylov, Simon is taken to St. Petersburg for investigative actions. On the way he is kidnapped by the people of Foma.
