In the old Vuurtorenwijk in the Belgian Ostend, almost nothing is as it used to be. The district that was the domain of hard-working fishing families for decades has now become an oasis for the Flemish high society: rich baby boomers who lock themselves up in sky-high, ultra-luxury apartments. For them, the seawater is not good enough. They prefer to swim in their own pool. The old residents of the Vuurtorenwijk see how the 'washed up', as they call the newcomers, are making their old familiar district disappear. Kefah Allush searches the Vuurtorenwijk for the last remnants of a rich fishing past.
