At the heart of Cherokee life ways lies community. Several great leaders have appeared through the annals of our nation's history, and the greatest ones leave legacies that our communities will remember for ages. Such is the case of Hastings Shade. A wealth of cultural knowledge and an advocate for all Cherokees, Hastings served our people as a Deputy Principal Chief, a Cherokee National Treasure, and a great friend.
