Bruna goes to Ciro's house and makes things awkward for Donana while looking for her daughter, Mariana, who has gone out with Bruna's fiancé. Alone with Bruna, Ciro ends up hurting her feelings by saying that the only thing he feels for her is pity; Bruna then leaves, vowing to make him hate her one day. Upon returning home, Mariana is punished by Donana, who demands that she kneel and express remorse for having disobeyed her. Encouraged by his parents—who tell him that Bruna had come to the house looking to make amends—Júlio decides to go see her. The next day, at the company office, Júlio is taken aback when Bruna definitively breaks off their engagement and returns the ring.
