The series depicts the events surrounding the unit code-named "Claw," which operated in Warsaw during World War II, within the counterintelligence structure of the Union of Armed Struggle - Home Army Headquarters. It was modeled on the famous counterintelligence combat unit code-named "Wapiennik," established in 1941, and one of its primary missions was the liquidation of individuals convicted by underground courts. The events depicted in the series were inspired by real-life operations that were widely reported in occupied Warsaw.
