Bajirao assures the lenders that they will receive their money once he becomes the Peshwa. However, the lenders try to conspire behind his back to stop him from attaining that status. Bajirao decides to take matters into his own hands despite his mother and wifes warning after being inspired by the letter he had received from Mastani.
