Maryana Yampolskaya, director of a successful legal agency, takes her sister's daughter, Dina, for an internship. Lively and responsible, she immediately becomes the center of attention of employees, including Gena Bashkaev, Dina's main competitor, and Viktor Doroshin, co-owner of the agency. The latter especially irritates Maryana; in their youth they had an affair and her feelings for Doroshin have not cooled down yet. He, in turn, keeps Maryana on a short leash as a lawyer who is useful to him in business, although he himself has been happily married for a long time.
