On the eve of defending her research, a young doctor Vika Skvortsova meets Oleg Rodionov, a famous cardiologist and also the new chief of medicine at the clinic where she works. They spend the night together, and a month later it turns out that Vika is pregnant. Oleg divorces his wife and proposes to Vika. She begins a life that one can only dream of - a loving husband, expecting a child, a luxurious apartment and an upcoming long-term business trip abroad.
