A taxi driver from Halle has been murdered. Schmücke and Schneider begin their investigation in an atmosphere of fear and charged tension among the taxi drivers. Innocent people come under suspicion, and vague suspicions almost lead to a manslaughter case. Even though much now points to a robbery-murder, Schmücke and Schneider still have considerable doubts about this theory.
