Lyuda Kupriyanova has everything she could dream of: a loving husband, Pavel, a successful business, and trusted friends, Vlad Kozhukhov and his wife, Oksana. After the tragic loss of their child, the couple decides to adopt a boy, Fedya. When Fedya turns seven, she discovers she's pregnant again-she's expecting a girl. With the birth of their daughter, the couple's relationship deteriorates. Pavel's mother, Raisa, openly dislikes her adopted son. A chance argument radically changes the Kupriyans lives: Fedya goes missing, and the couple finds themselves at the center of a criminal investigation. The case is led by investigator Aleksey, who must help Lyuda find her son and regain her faith in love.
