After a tech support woman opens Sheryl's eyes to the growing market of female adult film consumers, Vera proposes an experiment to see if Troy could be the face of Vesuvius Video. Sheryl's concern regarding Vera's attitude toward actresses is put to the test when a porn prima donna visits the set. Knife play gone awry sends Chaz to the hospital and Troy into shock. Kim Barely accuses Sheryl and the whole adult film industry of racism only to have her confidence in her work severely shaken. Tired of chasing unrequited love, Aaron tries playing it cool, compounding Kim Barely's self-doubt. Troy and Claire's evolving friendship spurs Venezia to ask Troy out, but a suicidal fan threatens to derail their courtship. Conner finally begins to question the merit of his self-imposed isolation.
