With the Thunder Rangers having struck (defeating the Wind Rangers with their own Tsunami Cycles and with Zords), the Rangers are left powerless and ill matched against a later attack by Amphibidor, a desiccating alien frog monster. When Blake is injured protecting Tori, she takes him to Ninja headquarters. With their location discovered, the Thunder Rangers infiltrate their headquarters and kidnap Sensei.
