Historical fiction series series in the 13th century BCE. The protagonist is Neteb, Princess of Egypt. She is depicted as the younger sister of Queen Nefertari and the sister-in-law of Pharaoh Ramesses II (reigned 1279-1213 BCE). Neteb is an amateur detective, typically investigating domestic conspiracies against Ramesses. She also helps in cases involving foreign enemies, such as rogue Hittite princes. Neteb is also a student of medicine, and her medical training often saves the lives of crime victims. The series also features her sidekick, a soldier-in-training who is in love with her.
