The story explores relationships in the families of siblings Krishna Prasad (Jackie) and Krishna Priya (Meena Kumari). The sister gives up her son to her sister-in-law and, in exchange, raises her niece. When the mother and the daughter end up being mother-in-law and daughter-in-law in the same house, their lives change.

Episode 1Durga and Priya get ready for their baby shower. Further, Prasad compliments his wife and adorns her with flowers. Meanwhile, Durga tells Priya to be well dressed and questions Sambayya regarding Priya's jewels. However, Priya explains to Durga that she does not have any high expectations and is satisfied with what she has. Further, Mangalamba approaches and insults Durga because she had two miscarriages in the past. As a result, Durga vows to give birth to a boy child.
