Simulators can be used for almost every type of situation… from preparing soldiers to go into combat… to training teachers and nurses… to improving driver and piloting skills. The staff and students at UCF’s I S T are involved in researching how simulation can be improved upon and made even more real. Shawn was surprised to find that teams of all sorts of people work together on simulation research. Whether you’re interested in psychology… graphic arts… acting… engineering… history… computers… or architecture, to name a few. There’s something for just about everyone in this research field! We’ll visit the RAPTER group, the Robotics lab and the Media Convergence Lab.
