Kichiro runs a hotel. His wife is the younger Setsuko. he encourages her to publish her poetry and so she did. The tome is entitled Garasu no Ashi. Unffortunately, she is a betrayer and is having an affair with Masahiro. Kichiro is involved in a severe accident.

Episode 3Mayumi is reported missing to the police and the media, and her father suspects Setsuko. Setsuko must decide how to proceed while keeping Mayumi safe.

Episode 4After seeing off Mayumi and her mother at the station, Setsuko begins the process of tying up all the remaining loose ends in her own life story.
