In South Africa a white minority government imposes Apartheid, an abhorrent racist system designed to keep them in power, and subjugate and control the native black population. Black South Africans protest and resist, the Anti Apartheid movement gains global support, and the call to free the eventual leader Nelson Mandela, becomes a global rallying cry.
