Helen is eager for Ted to get a job and helps him look through the classifieds in the local newspaper. Ted continues to have problems with his obnoxious and selfish young neighbour Pete and is becoming increasingly hostile towards him, especially after a tasteless funeral prank. When Pete hosts a particularly loud party, Reg is driven to despair by the noise and decides to give him a piece of his mind.
