Ryan is hired to trace a woman's missing husband, and he finds him at Warialda, an artists' colony, where creative people and reluctant husbands can get away from it all. Ryan questions the husband and discovers that he doesn't wish to be found, and that the colony is occupied by a group of hippies whose main goal in life seems to be to make his life hell. When Ryan triggers off a tragedy, he finds himself questioning his own lifestyle.
