Zack hires an actor named James, who works as a waiter at the Max, to impersonate his father, Derek, to Mr. Belding, and later, asks James to impersonate Mr. Belding to his real father to avoid the consequences of some bad grades. Meanwhile, the rest of the gang plans a carnival to raise money for a new school field trip.
