After collapsing atop Spyglass Hill, Escovar is tied up by the kids but manages to escape in the night taking Mark's computer with him. Raoul and Karl journey into the volcanic wastelands where they encounter Rosa who leads them to a fortress. There they meet her grandfather, Alessandro, Rauls finds his father's sword, and Karl a pirate flag inside an old sea chest.
