S11 • E93 Apr 2, 1980On their way to Hooper's Store, Gordon and Susan run into Big Bird, who carries a bucket. He's on his way to the nearby construction site to collect some sand. The couple tells this to Mr. Hooper and they all recall similar, beach-related things Big Bird has done lately (trying on a swimsuit, acquiring a beach umbrella, etc.). They look out on the block and discover that Big Bird isn't planning a trip to the beach, but he's made his own beach right on Sesame Street.
