He knows that trees grow from acorns and has placed one on the ground, commanding it to grow. Maria and David break it to him that not only does it need to be planted, but trees take years to grow; this directly impedes Big Bird's plans for a picnic under the tree tomorrow. He goes off to sulk, while David wonders what they can do to remedy this.
