There, he met the Second Generation Sukeroku once more, who told him that he had arrived at the Sanzu River. Sukeroku then guides him on a journey through the land of the dead. On the way, return to their childhoods and young adulthoods, talk to each other about Miyokichi and Konatsu, and look back on their lives as they were. And then Miyokichi appears…
