Maud Nycander has for a year and a half filmed a closed emergency ward at St Göran's mental hospital in Stockholm, depicting the situation and living conditions of a few patients at very close range. The film captures when the great sadness floods a corner of our world and how it affects the collective Swedish subconscious.
