Upon learning that they could be sent to a foster home at any moment, Valeria makes an important decision and asks Joaquín to become the guardian of her and her siblings. Valeria cannot hide her disappointment and confronts Joaquín for not showing up to the meeting with the social worker, assuring him that maybe Diego was right and that, in reality, he does not care. Verónica takes advantage of the fact that Valeria is asleep to get close to her and observe her up close, but Joaquín catches her inside the room and does not hesitate to question her.
