Season 1

Another sequel series to "Space Battleship Yamato". During an ongoing war between the Galman Empire and the Bolar Federation, a proton missile crashes into the Sun. The nuclear fusion in the Sun accelerates to unsafe levels, and life in the Solar System is under the threat of extinction. The Yamato and its crew must find a new home-world for humanity, working within a deadline. Meanwhile, the Earth is tentatively allied with the Galmans in their war. Yamato allies itself with the exiled Queen Ruda of Shalbart who has ties to pacifist factions within both the main combatants of the war.
