The marquis and count persist in putting Yann on trial for piracy, despite his warning they will have a lot to explain to the royal 'intendant general' (supervisor of provincial authorities), and obtain a death sentence. However Marion's father spreads a pest rumor and manages to free him and his captured party. The villains have already set out i their treasure hunt to New France (in America), with his ship and crew. Yann's party tricks some cocky merchants and ultimately takes control of their ship to set chase in the Atlantic.
