Apparently, Yangidon once got demolished by Veldor in the past. Feeling embarrassed in front of his teammates, and feeling belittled by Veldor, Yangidon pounces on Veldor in a fit of rage and they both get swept away in the water. They end up being stuck together in a cave. The situation forces them to become closer which helps them form a lasting friendship.
