Supergirl - S5 • E14 Ratings & Reviews
Tell-Tale TV
Shelby Elpers
"The Bodyguard" follows its female leads as they find new paths in life despite various setbacks. Some of these paths are fresh and progressive. They even reignite interest in characters that have been sidelined.
AV Club

As an episode, "The Bodyguard" is a perfectly fine hour of genre TV. As part of a season-long arc, however, it feels like a decisive shift in the right direction.
Den of Geek

It's also impossible to ignore the fact that the show used Crisis as an attempt to reboot a love interest that really wasn't working. At its heart, that's a deeply lazy move. Kara deserves better - and so do Supergirl's viewers.
TV Fanatic
Sarah Little
At first, it seemed as if Supergirl was going to ignore the Acrata storyline and reduce Andrea to a background character. Thankfully, Andrea is becoming Acrata once more.
Entertainment Weekly
Sara Netzley
Still not sure how I feel about Kara/William, but I do love a dual-identity storyline where the besotted person confesses their feelings to the object of their affection in disguise.
