Vera lives in a small town, works as a cashier at a bank and is a single mother of her seven-year-old daughter Dasha, whom she has been afraid of losing since birth. At the age of three, Vera herself got lost at the train station and ended up in an orphanage. Vera still hasn't given up trying to find her mother. Unexpectedly, her mother Marina finds Vera herself. The long-awaited reunion makes the woman incredibly happy. But everything changes when Vera's first love, Andrey, arrives in town with his fiancée Olesya. Andrey guesses that Dasha is his daughter and begins to suspect that Vera's mother is not who she claims to be.
