Gem warns her that if she blows her whistle too much, it can 'bring bad luck on the wind'. The Captain doesn't believe her and keeps blowing her whistle. But every time she blows it, she ends up getting splatted by sloppy seaweed. Perhaps her whistling is more unlucky than she thought.
