S2 • E7 Dec 1, 2007You'll find more than tropical beaches on the Big Island of Hawaii! There are live volcanoes, thick rain forests, and massive mountains to explore. Host Kara Tsuboi begins with a helicopter tour of the Kohala Coast to see its dramatic sea cliffs and waterfalls. A hike on Kilauea, Hawaii's most active volcano, shows how the island continues to grow and change, today. Kara then tours a Kona Coffee farm and enjoys an organic cup of joe, then finishes with a special meal, direct from Hilo's famous farmers' market.
