S1 • E9 Apr 21, 1981 25mThe heart pumps the blood around the body, exactly as fast as it is needed. We look at the blood system in the body, and what functions the different blood cells have. On its journey around the body, the blood passes through the lungs and collects fresh air, which all cells need. Fresh air and food are then transported around the entire body. What the cells do not need, the blood takes with it to the kidneys, and further out as urine.
