Eric meets up with Storm to discuss a delicate matter. He reminds Storm that his father is gone for nearly 8 years now and that Beth deserves the chance to start over fresh. Rather surprisingly, Storm is not opposed that Eric wants to marry his mother. He advises Eric that divorce on grounds of desertion might be the better option instead of having Stephen declared legally dead. Stephanie meets with Conway Weston to begin the search for Stephen Logan. Ridge and Brooke have dinner at the Ocean Club and discuss their family problems. Eric returns home and does not beat around the bush: he shocks Stephanie with his request to officially end their marriage after 28 years. Stephanie asks for at least as much consideration as to not tell the children for a while.
