Betulla learns that a large witches' dance is taking place in the forest at night. She asks the witch if she can attend. But the witch refuses, because Betulla "only" wants to be a sorceress. Being very curious, Betulla sneaks into the forest with Pinocchio to observe the witches. The two are promptly discovered and forced to flee, because the witches don't take any nonsense at their secret ceremony. They pursue them.
