S2 • E21 Feb 22, 1952 30mGene and Pat deliver a letter to Ma Walker from her son Billy. He sends her mother $1.00 and an apology for not seeing her on Mother's Day. When Gene and Pat ride into town, they chase after some outlaws who have just robbed a bank. They capture one of the outlaws, only to find it's Billy! Billy promises to go to jail after visiting his mother. The next day, the Walt Brandy gang ambush Gene and Pat and take take Billy hostage. The sheriff assumes Gene and Pat let him loose, so they're arrested. Ma goes after Billy, and Gene and Pat break out of jail to go after her. She then pleads for Billy's release, but the gang aren't compling. Ma is shot when she shields Billy from being shot by one of the gang members. The sheriff and his posse arrive and free Billy.
