S2 • E4 Oct 27, 1951 30mGene arrives in Cottonwood to track down outlaw, Maverick Dan. Gene runs into his younger sister, Barbara (who Dan dubs, Bonnie), who believes her older brother is innocent. When Gene finds a place for Barbara to stay, an outlaw gang, led by Dan, is raiding a stagecoach, Gene chases after them, but they escape. Gene finds clues in the mayor's office that Cottonwood is rich in Tungsen Ore. The mayor finds Gene, and sends him to sheriff Pat Buttram, who lets him off the hook. Barbara tries to warn Dan, but is caught by two of the mayor's henchmen, who make her part of their plan to capture Gene. Gene finds the real Maverick Dan, who is really the mayor in disguise. With that, Gene and Barbara bring in the outlaws.
