‘Rockwood Manor’ is an English-style estate and museum located in Wilmington, Delaware. Built between 1851-1854 by banker Joseph Shipley, Rockwood is an excellent example of Rural Gothic Revival Architecture. Rockwood Manor was Joseph Shipley’s pride and joy and still is as he reportedly walks the dark eerie hallways and footsteps are allegedly heard daily along with reports of full bodied apparitions even seen by visitors and their tour guides!
