A group of amateur Canadian bakers are convened for a baking competition. There is a theme to each week's competition, generally in the vein of the type of goods the competitors are to bake.

Bread WeekBread Week has arrived; each baker will show their stuff with stuffed flat breads; a Swedish tea ring for coffee time; the bakers must create an edible bread work of art.
Botanical Week

Botanical WeekBakers must prepare pressed flower cookies featuring an edible flower or herb baked into them; bakers are tasked with making Chebakia; the bakers fool the judges's eyes with a botanical illusion cake.
Chocolate Week

Chocolate WeekThe bakers must re-create the Sacher Torte; the bakers must hide a dessert within a chocolate shell for Kyla and Bruno to discover in the 3D chocolate reveal.
Pastry Week

Pastry WeekThe bakers demonstrate their take on a chimney cake; bakers rise to great heights with a baklava tower, built using phyllo pastry; one baker will wow the judges to become Star Baker and another sees their journey in the baking tent come to an end.
Fancy Dessert Week

Fancy Dessert WeekFour remaining bakers dress up some desserts; the bakers start with mochi donuts, then provide their take on the sans rival; the bakers must wow the judges with a jelly art cake, topped with a spectacle encased in jelly.
Finale

FinaleBakers demonstrate their abilities by taking on the classic Paris Brest; bakers try their hand at cassata; the bakers push their skills to the limit with a garden party dessert centerpiece made of at least three different bakes.
