Alparslan's refusal to become the crown prince is met with surprise by everyone. Alparslan, on the other hand, chooses a different path to take revenge on Kekavmenos, the murderer of his mother, and to make Vaspurakan a homeland for the Turks. This path chosen by Alparslan is a move that the Byzantine didn't expect, and this move causes great vigilance among themselves.
