Dimas has hardened the boy, stripping away his vulnerability and shaping him into something like a gladiator. Meanwhile, the BAC is in ruins — the police have swept through and taken everything, raiding everyone's homes, and the entire investigation has been lost. Elena learns that Zárate has been arrested and steps in to cover for him with Commissioner Rentero. She explains her strategy to Zárate to get him released: she needs him to get close to Kortabarria — their only card to play. Chesca and Elena track down Caracaja, a man who knows Kortabarria's movements and how to access his women's auctions. The team puts together an operation that will be close to a suicide mission for Zárate.
