Daji finally died, and King Zhou was grief-stricken and guarded her soul day and night. Shen Gongbao suddenly appeared, destroyed the demon-slaying sword, and rescued Daji in time. After Daji came back from the dead, her heart became even more vicious. In order to please Daji, King Zhou insisted on punishing Meibo by cannon, regardless of the begging of his ministers.
