It's Lionel's college-graduation day and George and Louise are making preparations to celebrate. Florence and Louise are preparing a nice dinner and George has bought Lionel a new briefcase. While George is on an errand, Lionel comes home drunk. Fearful to have George see him like that, Louise, Jenny, and Mother Jeffersonn attempt to sober him up, and they soon learn that Lionel fears that he won't make it to the top like his father has.
