Three's definitely a crowd for parcel-post deliveryman Doug Heffernan (Kevin James), whose newly-widowed father-in-law Arthur (Jerry Stiller) has moved in with him and his wife Carrie (Leah Remini). Doug's no longer the king of his domain--the renovated basement that houses his beloved supersized TV set--let alone the king of Queens, where he lives. Can they all just get along?

    Do RicoDoug Heffernan (played by Kevin James) does an imitation of workmate Rico (played by Angelo Pagán), a person he works with in order to get wife Carrie (played by Leah Remini) to have sex with him. But then when Carrie wants him to imitate the voice again, Doug worries she doesn't want him anymore and tries to keep Carrie from meeting the real Rico at a softball game.

    Roast ChickenCarrie Heffernan (played by Leah Remini) makes her husband Doug (played by Kevin James) give his boss a card for his 20 years with the company. His boss, Mr. Les Fisker, played by Tom Amandes, thinks it is so funny that he makes Doug roast him at a banquet, and Doug worries about losing his job for making fun of his boss.

    Fatty McButterpantsWhen Doug learns that Carrie is buying him clothing from the "Big and Tall Shop", he is now determined to lose weight. While he is on his journey to lose weight, he tells Carrie that she needs to make some changes to her lifestyle as well. Meanwhile, Arthur is trying to keep the family safe by getting a safety dummy.

Now, she is trying very hard to get back to school and get a good education to become more successful. But will she be able to balance work, school, and family at the same time?

    Dark MeetAfter a great Thanksgiving, Doug and Carrie try to recall their first Thanksgiving together and who said "I Love You" first. They consult Arthur, who quickly recalls some other Thanksgivings and finally recalls 1993, when he was having a fight with his second wife Lily (Florence Henderson) as Doug was coming over to meet the family.

    Twisted SittersWhen Kelly's great aunt dies, both Deacon and she have to go to Chicago and they have no one to watch their two kids, so Doug and Carrie offer to watch them while they're gone. When they first start watching the kids Carrie was terrified of the idea, but soon after they began to love the idea, up until Kirby catches Doug and Carrie being intimate in their parents' bed.

    Work RelatedWhen Arthur goes to Carrie's workplace with her, he's offered a menial job there which soon begins to irritate her. Doug competes to be "Mr. April" for IPS, but Deacon is in the way of his getting it.

    Better CameraIt's the Christmas season and the Heffernan's see that they have a new neighbor who happens to be Lou Ferrigno. Arthur wants Lou to read his screenplay to get it produced. Doug decides to buy Carrie a camera the only problem is that her boss at work also bought her a camera which happens to be nicer.

    Wedding PresenceDoug and Carrie run into an annoying couple who are happening to get married. The couple invite them and Doug and Carrie say they will be there for sure. Then they later find out that the wedding is in Maryland which is a five hour drive and Doug and Carrie don't want to attend any longer. Arthur thinks of another crazy scheme, on having half priced footwear for sons and fathers.

    Hi Def-JamDoug delivers a package to a mom and sees that she has an HDTV. With the Superbowl coming up, he can't stand looking at his own TV. Doug later finds out that Carrie's boss has HDTV. He asks her if she will invite her boss to Doug's poker game so he can try to watch the Superbowl at her boss' place.

    Paint Misbehavin'After Carrie tells Doug that it's okay for him to find other women attractive, he asks her to tell him which men she finds attractive. Among others, she says she finds Deacon good looking, which causes Doug to become jealous. Doug complains about it to Deacon, who brags about it to his wife, Kelly. Deacon's paintball birthday party turns into a jealous war.

    Deacon BluesDoug Heffernan (played by Kevin James) finds Deacon Palmer (played by Victor Williams) out with another woman, Angie (played by Patricia McBride) and Deacon makes him promise not to say anything. When Carrie (played by Leah Remini) finds out, she begins to question their marriage because Doug and her apparently have different views on whether or not it is cheating.

    Horizontal HoldAfter Deacon and Kelly's separation, Carrie begins to wonder about her own marriage. She and Doug agree to put their sex lives on hold for a few weeks because Carrie feels that they should resolve arguments verbally. Arthur dates a woman who claims she dated Frank Sinatra.

    Inner TubeWhen Doug lies to wife Carrie so he can play mud football, he gets sick and starts feeling guilty. He then has dreams about it based on television shows such as Wheel of Fortune, The Young and The Restless and the 1971 ABC-TV film Brian's Song.

    Papa PillDoug feels sorry for Arthur and agrees to let him go to a cocktail lounge instead of the weekly dance at a senior center. When Carrie finds out, she turns her father's care over to Doug.

    Package DealDoug receives an offer from FedEx and tells his IPS boss that if he wont give Doug a better route than he will transfer to FedEx. Lou Ferrigno sees Carrie slaving around the house and offers her if he can help, they soon start doing more favors for one another which ends up giving Carrie quite an orange tan.

    Separation AnxietyDoug and Carrie Heffernan go to a movie with Kelly Palmer while Deacon Palmer watches the kids at home. While at the movies, Carrie finds a co-worker who becomes interested in Kelly. To Deacon and Doug's dismay, Kelly decides to go on a date with him, resulting in Deacon asking Doug to help him win his wife back.

    Departure TimeDoug's parents are coming in town so Doug and Carrie decide to go and pick them up at the airport and they bring upsetting news to Doug. They have him sign papers about their wills and what would happen if they were to go into a vegetated state or what not. Arthur roams the airport acting like a passenger to get discounts on items in the airport store.

    Swim NeighborsA hurricane devastates the adjoining backyards of the Heffernans and the Sackskbys. When Carrie rejects their idea of combining the two backyards and builds a tall fence, the Sacksbys retaliate by installing an above-ground swimming pool.

    S'no JobDoug Heffernan's uncle Stu asks him to get Danny a job at IPS and Doug (Kevin James) doesn't want Danny working there. He gets Danny the interview but convinces Supervisor O'Boyle to not hire him. Then Doug feels guilty about it. Arthur is asked to review an upcoming movie.

    Pregnant Pause (1)Carrie discovers that she is pregnant and she is panicked that the timing is all-wrong. Meanwhile, Deacon and Kelly begin to reconcile and Arthur insists that Doug build him his own bathroom in the basement.

    Pregnant Pause (2)Doug tells Carrie not to panic about having the baby and he takes on a second job so that they can save extra money before the due date. Arthur is annoyed that Doug still hasn't finished his bathroom.
