Meeting the more desirable Melissa makes Phil somewhat rueful about marrying Carol and he smartens himself up for the new arrival, obtaining a new car for her but, to keep Carol happy, he mends her door for her, injuring himself in the process. Melissa gets drunk and tells Phil that she has been for two years without a man, thus presenting him with a dilemma - should he give in to temptation or be faithful to his new bride?
