He, who has still not got over the loss of his wife, knows exactly what it means to be unable to say goodbye to a loved one. He really wants to enable Antonio to speak to Maria one last time. Eduardo believes in Antonio's innocence. Not so his trainee lawyer Marcia, who looks after the daughter of the dead and for whom Alves is an unscrupulous businessman. It soon turns out that the evidence evaluated by the insurance detective, João Pinto, casts a different light on the explosion. Eduardo and Marcia encounter fake clothing brawls, in which even Marcia's uncle Valdemar has a hand in it. While Eduardo thinks primarily of his client, Marcia wants to know the whole truth. E4FeuerteufelAfter a devastating forest fire near Lisbon, the body of a young man is found. He had been living in the forest at a rehabilitation camp for juvenile offenders. It quickly becomes clear that the fire was arson. Suspicion falls on David da Costa, a friend of the victim, who was found in the immediate vicinity of the fire and, despite his youth, has a substantial criminal record, including several arson offenses. Everything points to the teenager's innocence. David has only one advocate: Gonçalo Postiga, the camp director, who firmly believes in David's innocence. Gonçalo asks his old friend, criminal defense lawyer Eduardo Silva, to take on the case. Years earlier, Gonçalo had helped Eduardo's daughter, Ines, through a life-altering crisis. Out of a sense of loyalty, Eduardo and his trainee lawyer, Marcia Amaya, accept the case. David makes it difficult for Eduardo to defend him. The boy is withdrawn and pretends to have no memory of the accident. David's rejection doesn't deter Eduardo and Marcia from doing everything in their power to help their client and search for new leads. Are there financial motives behind the arson? Ines, always a very sensitive, idealistic, but also unstable girl, has joined a group of ecoterrorists in her commitment to protecting the environment. She loves the leader of the group, the charismatic Miguel Alcántara, who is now suspected of murder. Ines is arrested in order to get to Miguel, who is in hiding. Even in the silent hope of overcoming the gap with Ines, Eduardo takes over the defense of his daughter, supported by his energetic assistant Marcia Amaya. A case that pushes Eduardo to his limits.
