Having seen Paul with another woman, Sandra believes that she is too sweet and compliant and vows to be hard and ruthless, giving up vegetarianism and rowing with her mother. This leads to a falling out with Carol so Sandra feels that the only way to win Paul back is to be passionate and seductive though this scares him off. Fortunately Carol knows how to save the situation.
