As family Kelling boards "dream ship" MS Berlin for the cruise to Sydney, kids Moritz and Susu ignore Peter and Ulrike plan to divorce. Finding out, they run away, as stowaways aboard the sailing ship of a former German TV star who takes them under his wing during the race. Blind ship masseur Andreas is delighted to find the new ship photographer is his longtime buddy Christian, who never told him having caused the blinding car accident, which driving girlfriend Lisa took the blame for. She's also aboard and sneaks into the jeep as the men set out on his dream voyages along the aboriginal tracks, only to get stuck in a river, desperate to reach any habitation in the vast bush.
